Dear Dr. Strickland,
On December 30th, I brought
my sick, 11 and 1/2 year old cat, Emmitt, into your office. We had
no idea what was wrong with him.
Your staff tended to
him promptly and kept me apprised throughout our visit. Dr. Hish
examined him. Having found no obvious cause for the illness, he
gave us instructions to monitor Emmitt throughout the remainder
of the day and night. On New Year's Eve, Emmitt was still sick.
I called your office and they advised me to bring him in right away.
Despite the busyness of the office, the inclement weather, the impending
holiday and the skeleton staff, your employees were responsive,
cheerful and professional.
Dr. Hish deserves special
recognition for his compassion, professionalism, availability and
conscientious follow through. He took the time to explain possible
causes, offer solutions to help Emmitt stay hydrated and outlined
what he was looking for and why. After examining Emmitt again, running
a stool sample and blood work (all of which were normal), he called
our home several times the evening of New Year's Eve as well as
several times on New Year's Day to check on Emmitt. He provided
his cell phone number in case Emmitt took a turn for the worse over
the holiday and he called again on the 2nd to ensure that Emmitt
had made a complete recovery. It was very reassuring. Never have
I had ANY physician be as attentive and caring as Dr. Hish was in
this instance.
Emmitt is fully recovered
now. It is heartening to know that when a beloved pet is in distress
that warm, caring and professional staff members like yours are
there to help.

On behalf of my wife,
Denise and me, I would like to pass on our sincere appreciation
for the outstanding care and service that we have always gotten
from Dr. Krisi Erwin.
Our dog, Bubba,
has had many health issues - several of them on a
semi-emergency basis, and Dr. Erwin has always found time
in her busy schedule to attend to Bubba's needs. Today was
a good example of Dr. Erwin's extraordinary care. Bubba was
suffering from a "neurological event" and my wife
brought him in while he was suffering from this condition.
It was clear to Denise that your office was unusually busy
but Dr. Erwin found the time to see Bubba quickly, treat him
and reassure Denise.
Dr. Erwin is always
very concerned about our pets and takes the time to fully
explain the diagnosis and treatment options (even during your
office's busiest times). I don't think we've ever had a vet
who was more caring and compassionate than Dr. Erwin.
Dr. Erwin is a
blessing to us and we are very glad that she is a part of
your practice.

My previous small
animal vet was only interested in the "bottom line",
so when a clinic was recommended by a friend, I was skeptical.
I reluctantly tried Leesburg Vet, and WOW! I was blown away
by the wonderful service and attention given to me and my
pets. The Vets and staff REALLY care about the animals and
it shows.
My dogs recently
had dental surgery. Throughout the entire procedure, I felt
as if my pets were their top priority. I was kept abreast
of their progress, given full discharge instructions during
a sit-down consultation, and was even called a day later by
the office to check on my dogs status. Even during the free
follow-up exam, we were treated with respect and compassion
- my animals again, seemed to be their biggest priority.
I am so glad that
I followed my friend's suggestion! Leesburg Vet will continue
to have my business!
